Fantastic 4-H'er:

emblem Ashlea Pearman

This week’s Fantastic 4-H’er is 17 year old Ashlea Pearman from Tift County.  Ashley is an 11th grade Senior 4-Her at Tift County High School.  Her main 4-H projects include Rabbits, Scrapbooking, and Resource Management.   Her 4-H highlights include Project Achievement, State Congress, the Lock-in Banquet, Pancake Supper, Project Fun Day, Cloverleaf Camp, and being a Certified Teen Leader for Cloverleaf CPA. She says that “4-H has taught me things that will help me to make better decisions in the future, as well as in my day to day life.  These things have been very useful to share with friends and family as well.” Ashlea’s favorite 4-H activity by far was serving as a teen leader at Cloverleaf Camp.  She says that “developing relationships with these young people was an experience like none other.  I will never forget that week.  It was just another step in helping me to make the decision to become a teacher.”  She wishes that “everyone would realize that 4-H is not just related to agriculture anymore.  There is such a wide variety of activities to do in 4-H.  Most importantly, the friends that you meet through this organization are people that you will carry in your heart all through life.  It is like one big happy family!   Everyone is special!”  After high school graduation she plans to attend college and obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Congratulations to Ashlea Pearman from Tift County, this week’s Fantastic 4-H’er!  To read more, visit:  http://www.georgia4h.org/fantastic4her/default.htm
