Fantastic 4-H'er:

emblem John Tyler Exum

Thirteen year old 4-H’er, John Tyler Exum, is from Berrien County.   John Tyler is an eighth grader whose 4-H projects have included International and Performing Arts –General as well as History and Public Speaking.  John Tyler has also been very active in varied community service and teen leadership activities. Exum has excelled in speaking competitions capturing first place in the Tye / Mobley Speaking Contest and the Georgia National Fair Junior 4-H Speaking Contest.  According to his application, “My hands have been a part of 4-H since the sixth grade, when I learned the other side of 4-H.  Since then, I have helped raise thousands of dollars for Moody Air Force Base, helped with Trick or Treat around the square, and helped at my county’s health fair.”  When asked his favorite 4-H memory or activity, Exum answered, “So far, being elected as a Southwest District  Junior 4-H Board of Directors Member.”  His future plans include attending college and pursuing a degree in the medical field.  John Tyler wishes others knew that 4-H “..is not all work but there is time to play!”   Congratulations to John Tyler Exum of Berrien County, this week’s Fantastic 4-H’er!  To read more, visit:  http://www.georgia4h.org/fantastic4her/default.htm
