Fantastic 4-H'er: Thirteen year old 4-H‘er Logan Edgeman is from Walker County. Logan is a Senior 4-H’er and a ninth grader at Lafayette High School. His main 4-H projects have been: Project Achievement, BB Team / Project SAFE, Poultry Judging, County 4-H Council, Teen Leadership, and assisting with the Walker County Cloverbuds. His 4-H highlights have included: Serving on the Northwest District Junior 4-H Board of Directors, County 4-H Council Officer, and Leadership in Action State level award winner in 2008. According to his application, “4-H has taught me to think before I speak and how to plan what my actions will show others. I have definitely gained knowledge and self confidence through 4-H. I think about 4-H all the time and how I can get more involved and promote 4-H to others. I bleed green! I have made so many friends through 4-H. Friendships that I will carry with me forever. “ Logan wishes others knew “how much fun 4-H can be – you are constantly learning and growing but don’t even realize it because you are having so much fun!”. Following high school and an even more active 4-H career, Logan plans to attend UGA and major in Veterinary science. He plans to help his brother open a veterinary clinic in their hometown.
