Fantastic 4-H'er: This week’s Fantastic 4-Her is Mallorie Talvan. Mallorie is a 14 year old 9th grade Senior 4-H”er from Houston County. She attends Peach County High School. Her Main project areas include Cat Care, Food Fare, Between Meal Snacks, and the Pizza Project. Some of Mallorie’s 4-H highlights include attending Summer Camps and Project Achievements, being a member of Junior Board, and meeting lots of new friends. She says that “4-H has taught me to love everyone and that everyone needs a friend and wants to be treated with respect and shown that they matter in the world as well. It has taught me that when you give instead of receive that you can make a difference in someone else's life. This organization has taught me so many valuable life skills that will help me succeed in life both now and in the future.” She also says that “4-H has made me the person that I am today.” Mallorie wishes that others knew that 4-H is more than just agriculture; it is a way of life that many youth are involved in. After high school, Mallorie plans to attend college and become a veterinarian. Congratulations to this week’s Fantastic 4-Her, Houston County 4-H member, Mallorie Talvan!
