Fantastic 4-H'er:

emblem Samantha Mitts

Thirteen year old 4-H‘er, Samantha Mitts is from Putnam County. Samantha is an eighth grade Junior 4-H’er at Putnam County Middle School.  Her main 4-H projects have included Human Development, Safety, General Science, and History. Samantha’s 4-H highlights include winning District, running for Junior Board, making new friends at Project Achievement and summer camp and just having a great time doing 4-H. According to her application, “Through 4-H I became more social and more happy with myself because I was doing something for myself, " and "I became more giving. I do projects with 4-H that give back to the community like Pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald house and canned food drives. Mitt wishes others "knew the history of 4-H.  I wish people in general just knew what 4-H is all about.” After completion of high school, Samantha plans to attend UGA on a 4-H scholarship and major in Outdoor Recreation. Congratulations to Samantha Mitts from Putnam County, this week’s Fantastic 4-H’er!  To read more, visit:  http://www.georgia4h.org/fantastic4her/default.htm
