Fantastic 4-H'er:

emblem Shelby Campbell

Seventeen year old Senior 4-H‘er, Shelby Campbell is from Union County.  Shelby is a twelfth grader at Union County High School.  Her main 4-H projects have included Horse and Outdoor Recreation.   Shelby’s 4-H highlights include placing first at Project  Achievement in the Horse Project , second in the Outdoor Recreation project and getting to experience the 2006 Georgia Youth Summit.   According to her application, “The 4-h program has allowed me to be a better organizer. It has taught me to set goals and to achieve those goals no matter what comes up, because you will regret it if you don’t.” and “4-H has taught me to put my heart into things I am passionate about and to stick with it.“  When asked what she wished others knew about 4-H, Campbell replied “The 4-H program not only betters your community, but yourself as well. It has taken me from being a shy girl to a confident woman that will do anything to help out others and her community without hesitating because of my shyness.“ Shelby plans to attend North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Georgia to major in either accounting or business.  Shelby’s agent, Timothy Jennings, says “It has been a joy to see Shelby grow and develop leadership skills as a Senior 4-H’er and to see her become more involved in community service activities.”  Congratulations to Shelby Campbell from Union County, this week’s Fantastic 4-H’er!  To read more, visit:  http://www.georgia4h.org/fantastic4her/default.htm
