Fantastic 4-H'er: Thirteen year old Junior 4-H’er, Will Wade is from Jasper County. Will is an eighth grader at Jasper County Middle School. His 4-H projects have included Paleontology, Sports, General Recreations, Project SAFE (BB), Citizenship and the 4-H Challenge Bowl. Will received “Best in Show” in the Junior and Cloverleaf Divisions at the Georgia State Fair . According to his application, “4-H has helped my head for clearer thinking in that I have been given the change to have leadership roles. In these roles, I have had to make decisions quickly. Practicing this helps me focus on the task at hand. Wade’s favorite 4-H activity has been being on the 4-H challenge bowl team this past year because if brought teams together to compete from all parts of Georgia. When asked what he wished others knew about 4-H, Will responded “I wish they knew how much fun they could have in 4-H and how much it can teach you about being a responsible leader. “ Will plans to remain in 4-H through high school and then pursue an Agricultural degree in college. Will’s 4-H Agent, Kasey Reid, says “Will is an outstanding leader and a positive role model for both younger 4-H’ers and his peers.“ To read more, visit: http://www.georgia4h.org/fantastic4her/default.htm
