Ben Hill County Earns 4th Place at Western National Roundup in FCS Skill-a-Thon

Ben Hill County won fourth place national honors in the National Family and Consumer Science Skill-a-Thon held at the Western National Roundup in Denver, Colorado.

Team members are: Adrianna Caldwell, Zarian Kite, Ben Lord, and Tyler Tucker. Jeri-Lynn Gilleland is the team coach. 

in addition, Georgia earned third place team honors in the Life Skills Assessment portion of the contest. 

The Ben Hill County team earned the right to represent Georgia 4-H in the contest by placing second in the 2015 Georgia 4-H Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging State competition.

The FCS Skill-A-Thon involves identifying sewing/clothing items, interior design/housingi items,and food/cooking items, judging two consumer decision classes and completing and presenting a life skills assessment. 

Congratulations to Ben Hill County on representing Georgia 4-H and their fourth place national finish!
