OMK RSG & Yellow Ribbon Curriculum Training

CLASS INFORMATION : - On ... participants will be engaged in an OMK Ready, Set, Go Training Session. RSG is a multifaceted interactive training that tailors activities to specific audiences. The training provides practical informa-tion to assist participants in building com-munity capacity and educating community members about the needs of military chil-dren and youth. In Georgia, RSG train-ings are provided for audiences including Career Technical and Agricultural educa-tors, school counselors, Family Assistance Center coordinators, County Extension Agents, community leaders, and any indi-vidual who is interested in learning about military life and culture in Georgia and throughout the nation.

CLASS INFORMATION : - On ... individuals will be participating in a Yellow Ribbon / Operation Mili-tary Kids Youth Program and Cur-riculum Training. OMK Yellow Rib-bon Youth Outreach Curriculum helps equip volunteers to effectively direct other volunteers, and guide OMK youth activities, to meet project and life skill objectives. The Yellow Ribbon Activ-ity Guide accommodates certain age groups and to successfully navigate each stage of the deployment cycle. Once individuals complete the OMK Yellow Ribbon Volunteer Training, complete the Cooperative Extension Volunteer Application, and pass a back-ground investigation they will become Certified OMK Yellow Ribbon Event Instruction Volunteers.
