On February 6th, 2012, the 11th Annual Leadership Day in Georgia, sponsored by the Department of Community Affairs, the Fanning Institute, Georgia 4-H and the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, was held at the Georgia Freight Depot in Atlanta.The year's theme was titled "Celebrating Georgia Leadership".

Leadership Day was a time for leaders from all across Georgia tocome together and share best practices and success stories and identify ways to improve leadership efforts in Georgia. Combined with 4-H Day at the Capitol, it provided 4-H'ers an opportunity to learn about all the leadership opportunities offered in their communities, listen to great speakers, tour the state capitol and meet with their representatives.

2012 Leadership Day's keynote speaker was Governor, Nathan Deal. Lieutenant Governor, Casey Cagle, spoke as well.
