Upon graduation from Shorter, Jim moved to New York City , where he was mentored by famed Fosse author/Broadway dancer and choreographer Margery Beddow.

A proud member of Actors Equity Association, the professional union of Actors and Stage Mangers, Jim has appeared on the New York stage in the Pre-Broadway workshop of Houdini the Musical at the New York Musical Theatre Festival; OffBroadway in Calthropia; as the title role in the contemporary opera Perfectomundo at the Ensemble Studio Theatre; as a featured soloist in the New York/U. “4-H taught me about hard work, dedication, and maintaining focus on my goal, no matter how hard it seemed – and also to have fun and enjoy the journey along the way! I kept that with me throughout college and even now in my professional career in New York .”
