Application Information

Through a combination of applications and interviews, four Georgia delegates will be selected to attend National 4-H Conference.

  • National 4-H Conference delegates who attend the conference will be Master 4-H'ers.
  • 4-H will cover all expenses for the trip, except for transportation to and from the Atlanta Airport, meals on travel days and one meal on Capital Hill Day.

ELIGIBILITY RULES

  • A 4-H member who is currently enrolled in 4-H, is a Senior 4-H'er and has not passed his/her 19th birthday on January 1, 2013, is eligible to complete for selection for this trip to National 4-H Conference.
  • 4-H'er must not have attended National 4-H Conference previously.

PROJECT PROCEDURE

  1. Submit applications from the Senior 4-H'ers in your county. Applications are due by 8:00 am the morning of October 31, 2012.
  2. Delegates will be selected on basis of:
    • 4-H project work
    • 4-H leadership work
    • Leadership activities in other fields
    • Citizenship activities
    • Essay submitted with application
  3. Selected applicants will be interviewed at 4-H Fall Forum on Saturday, December 8, 2012. This is the only time when applicants can be interviewed.

  1. Contact Information Page
  2. 2 Pages of 4-H & Leadership Activities
  3. 2 to 3 Page Essay

SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
Applications received after the deadline may not be considered.
Applications must arrive at the State 4-H Office by 8:00 am, the morning of the deadline in one of the following forms:

  • Signed original copy via traditional mail & emailed electronic copy
    OR
  • Electronic copy (unsigned) emailed to the address below. Signed original should be postmarked on the deadline. You do not need to send a hardcopy overnight, as long as an electronic copy has been emailed by the deadline.

Please don't fax signed copies. Instead, email electronic copies, unsigned, with signed originals sent in a timely manner.
