C.W. Stripling Forestry Student Loan Fund

Eligibility Guides:

  1. Candidate must have been active in Georgia 4-H at the Senior Level.
  2. Must be a high school graduate who is enrolled in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia.
  3. Candidate must make application through the County Extension Office with the recommendation of their County Extension Agent.
  4. Preference will be given to Mitchell County 4H'ers.
General Information:
  1. Contact the State 4-H Office for a loan application package.
  2. A maximum of $800 per quarter with a total maximum loan of $9,600 per student.
  3. Interest rate is currently 5% accruing from the date of the loan.
  4. Payment is due beginning four months after leaving the University.
  5. Payment must be made enough to repay one note per year plus accrued interest.

Eligibility Guides:

  1. Candidate must have been active in Georgia 4-H at the Senior 4-H Level
  2. Must be a high school graduate who is enrolled at the University of Georgia. Majority donor funding for Agricultural and/or Family and Consumer Sciences majors.
  3. Candidate must make application through the County Extension Office with the recommendation of their County Extension Agent.
Loan Requirements:
  1. Contact the State 4-H Office for a loan application package.
  2. A maximum of $1,000 per quarter or $3,000 per year is available.
  3. Interest rate is currently 5% accruing from the date of the loan.
  4. Payment is due beginning six months after leaving the University.
  5. Payments can be made monthly over a ten-year period.
