Is my county

limited?
No. County roll call will
take place
in district assemblies with the district roll call in the opening
assembly.
Each county will want to be well represented. Registration will
be
accepted on a first come, first served basis. Each county is
encouraged
to bring the largest delegation in their 4-H history and fill
Rock
Eagle. Counties are given a minimum of 4 voting delegates with
each
county having a cap of 10 total voting delegates to aid in reaching the
district vote maximum. However, counties are not limited in the
number
of participants they may bring.
How do I run
for State 4-H
Board?
Complete your application with
all the signatures
and return it before June 10th to the State 4-H Office.
Applications
will be accepted during district registrations but late applicants may
not be featured in the candidate summary papers. Complete details
are available on line (click

Are fees
waived or
sponsored for any delegates
or leaders?
Current Georgia 4-H Board of
Directors (state
officers) are sponsored as are the 2011 G4-HVLA Board of Director
members who are serving as county chaperones. Extension Staff assigned
to State 4-H Council will not need to
send payment as their registration is direct billed to Rock Eagle.
If your district has
offered
a scholarship,
please contact the district office. In all cases, those with fees
waived
will have received either a letter of authorization or an email to
submit
in lieu of payment for CouncilIf you have specific questions concerning
your 4-H'er or leader contact your District Program Coordinator/4-H orJenny
Jordan or Mark Zeigler
Volunteers who attend for the
Volunteer Voice activity only
are also at no cost. These are volunteers who are not
participating in State 4-H Council and only the volunteer program.
I'm an 8th
grade
Leadership in Action
Level II winner,a 4-H
Ambassador and/or a member of Clovers & Company. I am part of the
progam
so don't I get a discount?
In the case of Leadership in
Action and
4-H Ambassadors, participation is voluntary. While you will be
featured
at an assembly or in a class, your fees are not being discounted. Your
reward is the opportunity to participate on a level that others can
not.
If you have specific questions concerning these activities contact Jenny
Jordan
State 4-H Council
is a
Clovers and Company
required show. While the cast is unable to participate in Iron
Clover
competition, the majority of the program is available. Clovers
members
who are 8th grade and above must register for State 4-H Council through
their county if they intend on participating in the conference.
For
specific Clovers and Company questions, contact Cheryl
Varnadoe
I have a
volunteer
coming to the Wildlife Coaches Training (or the Forestry Field Day
Coaches Training or Cotton Boll/Consumer Jambaroee Coach's Training),
do they have to come to State 4-H Council? Registration
for Coach's trainings are being managed through the Georgia 4-H
Event Registration for State 4-H Council There are specific
instructions for registering those individuals who are not also
participating in State 4-H Council. This also true for Volunteer
Voice Participants who are only coming for that portion of the
program. Please note that volunteers participating in Coach's
Training can not participate in Volunteer Voice. These are held at the
same time.
Our
county
delegation is
one 4-H'er.
Do I need to provide a chaperone?
All 4-H'ers must be chaperoned
by a 4-H
Certified Overnight Chaperone. You may contact a neighboring county and
cluster your delegations. 4-H'ers from two or three counties could be
under
the supervision of one leader. 4-H'ers must know who "their"
leader
is and the leader should be responsible for all of "their" delegation
including
insuring that the entire group is picked up from Rock Eagle 4-H
Center.
If you have specific concerns about your delegation contact your
District
Program Coordinator/4-H or Jenny
