Georgia 4-H is collecting new and slightly used dvd
movies for Family Night at the Movies packs for our military
families.
During State 4-H Council participants will have the
opportunity to create Family Fun Night Packs. Through the 4-H
Military Partnership and Operation Military Kids, Family Fun Night
Packs will be shared throughout Georgia.
Georgia is home to more than 100,000 service members
whom have 89,000 youth under the age of 18.As the 5th
largest military population in the United States, service men and women
live in all 159 counties in Georgia as members of the Guard or Reserve
or with one of our 13 military installations. Approximately 25,000 of
Georgia service members are currently deployed.
During State 4-H Council, Iron Clover Points will be
awarded for counties contributions and recognition will be given to
counties with outstanding participation with this kickoff program.
Counties will need to bring a summary form with
their contribution to State 4-H Council to be eligible for points and
prizes.
