Overview

Communications: Intercourse by words, letters, or messages; interchange of thoughts or opinions, by conference or other means; conference; correspondence. (Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, © 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc)

Communications can take many forms, in spoken word, print, advertising, video, audio, electronically, and in wave form. These days, everything is a product of communication between different minds. When you are reading this paragraph, you are aiding me in conveying my thoughts. You are reading my ideas.

When you use an instant messenging client, you are sending each other your thoughts.

When you are talking on the phone, you are exchanging ideas.

When you are reading a newspaper, you are taking in the writers' thoughts.

When you are watching TV or listening to the radio, you are consuming someone else's thoughts and ideas.

Get interested in communication! It's all around you!
