The following are the objectives for the dairy and milk sciences project:
     1. To develop leadership abilities, build character, and assume citizenship responsibilities
     2. To become aware of the scope of the dairy industry and its economic significance.
     3. To acquire information and an understanding of dairy production practices and skill in executing them through ownership
     and care of dairy animals.
     4. To become acquainted with the marketing, processing, distribution, consumption and utilization of dairy products.
     5. To understand the full meaning of cleanliness and sanitation as applied to the production and care of milk and dairy
     products, and to practice these principles at home, as well as demonstrate them in the community.

          Why Milk? ---This is probably the best in information...It includes brocures that can be sent to you via snail mail, links, contests to keep it intresting, or informational resources.

Portfolio Addons
-I reconmend that you visit dairy farms and/or production facilities.  Some smaller dairy farms might even let you voulunteer as and extra farm hand.
-Take way more pictures than you need so that your supporting material (if applicable) is well...supported.
