Once upon a time, there was a fun
and harmless sport called greyhound racing.
Greyhound racers were prized athletes
and received the greatest of care,
Greyhound abuse was isolated and extremely
rare,
Instead, they were well-treated so
that they could win more races.
This is a fairy tale...

...143 Golden Retrievers found shot to death in an empty field
...a Jack Russell terrier electrocuted in a party atmosphere
...70 Cocker Spaniels left starving in an abandoned kennel
...thousands of Black Labradors packed in trucks and sent to their deaths in just one year
With greyhounds, however, there is no need for imagination. Sadly, this very thing happens yearly. Once upon a time greyhounds were the pets of pharaohs and kings. Today, they are used as means of making money in the gambling industry. Profit is the ultimate goal in this sport.
The purpose of this project page is to inform the public of the perils of the greyhound racing industry, and inform the public of what one can do to help ban this horrible market monopoly.
