Environmental Educator:

Live and work on the Georgia coast, just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, salt marshes, maritime forests, and numerous recreational opportunities. Learn more about our program by visiting www.jekyll4h.org.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach interdisciplinary marine-based environmental education classes, conduct evening programs, provide leadership to school groups participating in the program, and maintain teaching laboratories.

REQUIREMENTS: Commitment, genuine interest in children, dynamic personality, well-developed communication skills, creativity, and leadership ability. A Bachelor or Associate degree in Education, Natural Science, Environmental Education, or a related field preferred. Additional training in environmental education is provided.

SEASON: 9 1/2 months, mid-August through late May, staff training provided.

SALARY: $8.45/hr (work out to $338 for a 40-hour work week). Room and board available for a small charge.
