Welcome to the Rock Eagle 4-H Environmental Education Program.  We invite you to join the lengthy list of educators who make learning come alive in the outdoors!  Our Environmental Education Program is more than a change of pace for learning; it is the excitement that comes from students realizing that education involves the life-long learning arena of the world around us.

Hundreds of schools and thousands of students visit Rock Eagle throughout the school year.  Our program is primarily offered September through May.  Summer programs are available on a limited basis.  While some schools come for a day experience and others stay for several nights, they all come with one goal; expanding the walls of their classroom to include the environment around them.  Teachers who bring their students to Rock Eagle know the benefit of learning firsthand in a unique, real world setting.

Located in the Piedmont region of Georgia , the Rock Eagle 4-H Center is nestled in 1500 acres of forest with a 110 acre lake.  Our abundant natural resources make the Rock Eagle 4-H Center the ultimate place to begin your total learning experience.

Reservations may be made by calling the Reservation Office at (706) 484-2868.  For Environmental Education Program questions, you can e-mail Matt Hammons at  mhammons@uga.edu or call at (706) 484-2862.
