Help using the Info. Download Options button bar
OVERVIEW
Webpages that have the Info Download button bar typically have a significant amount of information about preparing for a trip to Wahsega. Therefore, it is included on certain webpages of the Wahsega 4-H Center site to help you, the user, access information from the site at your convenience even if you are not online.
Use the Info. Download Options button bar to quickly save information from a webpage to the hard drive on your computer. Downloads are available in three different formats: 1) Adobe Acrobat PDF file, 2) Microsoft Word DOC file or 3) Email that you send to a receipient of your choice. Each format will have the same information as the webpage from which the information is downloaded. If you have trouble dowloading the information, please contact us at Wahsega 4-H Center.
When choosing one of the file download options, the file will open after it downloads or a dialog box will open prompting you to decide how you want to view or save the file. The Send Email option allows you to send an email from your computer with the information from our website.
ABOUT EACH OPTION
Acrobat File (PDF)
After it opens in Adobe Acrobat, save the file to a location on your hard drive where you can find it again later. If you don't have a version of Acrobat or the Acrobat Reader on your computer, you will need to download and install the reader.Download Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Word File (DOC)
The DOC file is an editable MS Word file. After it opens, save it to a location on your hard drive where you can find it again later. If you don't have Microsoft Word installed on your computer, you can go to the Microsoft Download Center to get a free viewer for DOC files. At the Download Center, enter “Word Viewer” in the search field and click the Go button to find the webpage for the viewer and then download the installation file to your computer.
Send Email
If you click the Send Email button, it will open a new email on your computer using your email application. The “send to” field will be blank so you will need to fill it in with the name of the person to whom you wish to send the information taken from our website. The subject will be the same as the text in the application title bar. The body text of the email will include the same text as the webpage. If you have trouble with the Send Email option, make sure that your email program is recognized by the browser you are using.
One way to make the information on the webpage easy to find in the future is to choose the Send Email option and send an email to yourself. After the email opens and is ready to send, enter your own email address in the “send to” field. After sending the email, it will be in your inbox the next time you check for new email.
