Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Scholarship

Donor: Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College

Scholarships awarded annually, ranging from $500 – $1,000 each. Number of recipients and amount awarded to be determined by the Scholarship Review Committee.

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Must be an outstanding 4-H member who will be an incoming freshmen.

2. Must attend ABAC in the summer or fall of the current year.

UGA College of Family & Consumer Sciences Alumni Association Scholarship

Sponsor: The UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association

One $500 Scholarship

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Must be a 4-H member during current year and must not have passed their 19th birthday as of January 1 of the current year.

2. Applicant must be a 4-H member who is graduating from high school during current year or enrolled in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Georgia in the summer or fall of the current year. The recipient must be enrolled as a FACS student for one semester and maintain a "C" average. After satisfying the one semester requirement, the full amount will be awarded.

One $1,000 Scholarship

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Must be an active 4-H member during current year and must not have passed their 19th birthday as of January 1 of the current year. If age requirement is met, the 4-H’er may be enrolled in College.

2. Must plan to major in agriculture or forestry.

Georgia 4-H Achievement Scholarship

Donor: UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

One Scholarship ranging from $1,000-2,000

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Must be a 4-H member during current year and must not have passed their 19th birthday as of January of the current year. Applicant must be a 4-H member who is a high school senior and an incoming freshman at The University of Georgia in the Fall of the year application is submitted.

2. Must plan to major in agriculture or agricultural related field.

2. Preference will be given to 4-H'ers who major in a Family and Consumer Sciences or related field and 4-H'ers active in a Family and Consumer Science 4-H project.

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Must be a 4-H member during the current year and must not have passed their 19th birthday as of January 1 of the current year.

2. Applicant must be ready and qualified to enter college the fall term of the year application is made. If applicant has completed one term of college, then he/she is not eligible for the scholarship.

3. Recipients may enter any branch of the University System of Georgia.

4. Provide a Statement of Financial Need (page 4 of the Scholarship application).

  2. Must be involved in Collegiate 4-H.

One $1,000 Scholarship

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Applicant must be 4-H member who is graduating from high school during the current year, or who is in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year in college. If enrolled in College, must be involved in Collegiate 4-H.

2. Scholarship recipient may use the scholarship at any accredited school, college, or university.

3. Preference shall be given to 4H'ers from Glynn, McIntosh, or Camden County 4-H members.

4. Preference shall be given to a 4-H member active in the 4-H Horse Program.

5. Recipients may enroll in any accredited school, college or university.

One $3,000 Scholarship

The Edmund and Jo Ann Taylor 4-H Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to two outstanding Georgia 4-H members who excel in academic studies, leadership, citizenship and 4-H work.  The scholarships honor the late Edmund and Jo Ann Taylor, long-time Georgia 4-H supporters.

Eligibility Guidelines:

1. Must be a high school senior eligible for graduation and must enroll in an accredited college the Fall term of the year the application is submitted or a former 4-H'er who is currently a freshman or sophomore enrolled at an accredited college or university this Fall.

2. Recipients may enroll in any accredited college or university.

3. Provide a Statement of Financial Need (page 4 of the Scholarship application).

The E. Roy and Minnie Taylor 4-H Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one outstanding Georgia 4-H member who excels in academic studies, leadership, citizenship, and 4-H work.  The scholarship honors the late E. Roy and Minnie Taylor, long-time Georgia 4-H supporters.
