Pre-Club Market Goat Record Book:

  • This record book is for Pre-Club participants. Two divisions: 1-2 grade and 3-4 grade.

  • All entries must be from bona-fide 4-H or FFA members for the current year. All market goats that the record book is completed for, must be entered in the 2007 State Market Goat Show.
  • Record keeping is from the date of purchase until the date sold or January 1, whichever comes first.
  • All Market Goat Record Books are due to Heather K. Shultz no later than Monday, February 4th 2008. County Agents/Agriculture Education Teachers that have award winners will be notified no later than 12 noon on Friday, February 8, 2008. Award winners will be recognized at the Georgia Junior Livestock Award Banquet, scheduled for Friday, February 22, 2008, Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter.
  • Mail records to: Heather K. Shultz, 321 Hoke Smith Annex, Athens, GA 30602.
  • The record book is complete. No additional pages are allowed. Do not submit record books in notebooks or binders. You may use construction paper for the two Supporting Materials pages, but they must be 8 ½” X 11".
  • All signatures must be obtained on the front of the record book.
  • Records must be hand written by the member.
  • All work must be done by the submitting 4-H/FFA member. Plagiarism is not allowed. Record Books that appear to be plagiarized will be disqualified and ineligible for awards.
  • Awards are given in the form of Savings Bonds to top five participants for each division (1-2 grade and 3-4 grade). Social security numbers are required for awards.


Junior/Senior Market Goat Record Book:

  • This record book is for Junior and Senior participants. Juniors are grades: 5-8 and Seniors are grades 9-12.
