Communities of Opportunity - Youth & Adult Partnership Initiative Training

The Communities of Opportunity (Co-Op) Initiative is a collaborative, locally-driven community development strategy focused on enhancing the economic vitality of rural Georgia communities. Co-Op is organized by the Department of Community Affairs.

In keeping with Governor Perdue's vision for a growing, healthy, safe and educated Georgia , Co-Op will challenge local communities to engage in a comprehensive and collaborative approach to community development.

Counties who intend to apply for Co-Op grants must organize a Youth & Adult Partnership Initiative (YAPI) in their county.

Communities of Opportunity focuses on Georgia counties identified as having persistent poverty. To see if your county is elligible to particpate, check this map.

Youth & Adult Partnership Initiative (YAPI) Grants will be available to groups who attend regional trainings. Click here for more information on YAPI Grants.

In collaboration with the Department of Community Affairs, Georgia 4-H, the Fanning Institute and Family Connections are pleased to present online training sessions for County Youth & Adult Partnership Initiative Teams.
